I was watching a UFC fighting championships the other night. It was most entertaining but the rules were strict; no elbowing to the soft parts of the face, no hitting the throat, no head butting, no kicking to the groin etc... Of course under such rule, the person with the bigger muscle bulk and thicker bone will win. But the eyes of the strongest person in the world are really not that much tougher than an average Chinese teenage boy. If the rules are taken away, the playing field would be much more leveled.
Not to mention when knives are involved...
So really, there is a difference between sport fighting, and real fighting. Of course, being physically stronger is still an advantage.

那些不打要害的規限只對我們的功夫佬有利而無害。
需知你可以打人家要害,人家也可以打你的要害。十分公平!
