Thank you Mr. Pak, interesting video.
I agree that the biggest problem is 腦囪豆腐花可受多少震蕩. That's why most serious fighters spends a lot of time training the neck. In sports fighting (not real street fighting), because of helmets and gloves, some techniques may involves bracing the head/neck with the arm, and take the punch on the head.
However, when the body is deflecting and moving, if the opponent accidentally does make contact with the forehead, the impacting force would be less than 三倍體重的力. It is difficult to exert maximum force on a moving, defending object.
The video I posted, as mentioned before, is for 救命, not as a first line of defense. When 拳來的太多太亂的時候, 最重要的是保護自己的要害. If I have to choose between being hit on the forehead or my nose, eyes, jaw, throat, I rather get hit on the forehead. If my neck snaps back because of an upper cut, there will be even more damage. 被人打眼由沒有戴上拳套的話是很容易打盲的.
In real fights it is very scary. One will always get bruises (as stated on the video). Minimizing damage and getting out of the situation as quickly as possible, in my opinion, is the key to survival. We are not Superheroes, we will not be able get out of a confrontation without a scratch.
Cheers,
John
